Too much pumpkin patch fun!

Strapping Young Men

Zak and Nik on the first day of Winter Uniforms! Look how old Zak looks!

Because I was looking for a punishment.....

Are there ever times in your life when you wake up and think WOW this is a great idea? I had one of those mornings on Thursday last week. I had cleaned out the boys closets a month or so ago and know they needed some new clothes. So, Thursday morning I decided Saturday morning would be spent buying them new clothes and shoes. I wanted to take the two of them together to get it out of the way, but I had hoped that Larry would keep Bella. Ooops I forgot it is hunting season and he is not able to help in any such way. So, come Saturday morning I head out with three kids on a quest to find jeans, "good" tops, sweat pants, and shoes for the boys. For the record the boys would rather been at home cutting the grass with scissors, so you can imagine the mood of the morning. I (of course) have searched the Internet and found all the best deals and have a budget set. We made it out of Target $1.50 under budget....yah me! Do not ask about the rest of the purchases. Let me just say when it came time to buy the shoes, Zak got a pair of original Wallabees(which I swore I would NEVER pay what they want for them for a 12 year old, BUT) and Nik got a pair of Timberland boots. Truth be told, the store had the right sizes and I was so tired I did not care how much they cost as long as my credit card was accepted! Mark my word....I will NEVER do that again(the taking 3 kids shopping)! From now on they will get to go separately and Larry will be on babysitting duty.

To top the weekend off, I decided in August it was a good idea to volunteer one night to be a chaperone at the Jr High Fall Dance at school. Honestly the dance was far easier than the shopping!

Pumpkins

Since the flu hit the high road and left us all well we have been.......

Playing with brooms in the kitchen.......I was told that if you stood a broom up in your kitchen on Oct. 9,2009 and faced it North it would stand on its own. We tried it and low and behold it did! Pretty cool don't ya think.....

Mommy and Bella one morning before work. Yes, I said morning. We are all so use to the routine, we are able to have some down time every morning before we leave for work and school.
Bella will say Mommy "cheese peeese" and that is my indication to get the camera out. She will pose like the top and bottom photos. Once I snap she runs over to "see"! She is me through and through!

Looks like a lil tea pot:)

This is Bella and Calen. Calen is sporting her Hanna Montana/Mile Cirus look. Calen was headed to Mile's concert when this was taken! I cannot wait for Bella to want to do stuff like go to concerts all decked out!

Bella is enjoying a tea party with her friend "Wa Wa Wallace". Wallace is the granddaughter to one of my friends from school. She and Bella have a blast together.

Wa Wa paaaay! Peese???

Here is my lil monkey sporting a super cute new fall outfit! Wish I could revamp my wardrobe entirely every season!

Mommy and Bella at the Pumpkin Patch.

Heading out to look for pumpkins.

Nik and Bella posing with their pumpkins. Nik bent down to be closer to Bella and she had to do exactly what Nik did. She insisted on carrying her own pumpkin but would continually huff and say ewwww....heavy!

I got it Mommy!

My lil pumpkins! My boys are such good sports!

We made it out! I was up for a challenge, so I headed into a corn maze with all three kids and the boys leading the way!

I can see clearer now the flu is gone.......

Finally, I have a house of well childern and parents. It has been a long two and a half weeks at our house. The boys started with the flu, passed it to Bella, then she passed it to Larry and I. In total, Nik missed 3 days of school, Zak missed 6 days of school, Larry missed 2 days of school, and I missed 3 days of school. We have all been very busy playing catch up. Larry and the boys are all caught up, but I am still trying to catch up.

I have no photos of the last few weeks and simply put it was a blur. I will spare you all the details, but know we are all healthy and planning some serious family fun for the next two weekends! Look for all the fun photos to come!

ok....judge me

I put SODA in a bottle for Bella tonight! I know, me.....I have sworn off soda to her, and even made fun of people that I have seen put soda in a bottle for their kids. But, she is still not feeling great, and not that easy to take care of so when she asked for my soda tonight I gave in. I really did not want her drinking from my cup since I am trying to avoid getting sick, she did not want the soda put in a sippy cup, so I offered it to her in a bottle. A bottle one reads....yes, my child that will be 2 in 6 weeks still drinks from a bottle twice a day. I am admitting all this because I am feeling a little embarrassed by the bottle, her paci, and the fact that I have no desire to start potty training. Is there something wrong with me?
Should I just suck it up and cold turkey the bottle and paci? I think I enjoy the bottle time as much as Bella does. She takes a bottle while rocking as soon as she gets up in the mornings and while rocking before she goes to sleep at night. I love her paci as much as she does; I am sure of this one! I need her to still have the paci at night. I try to keep pacis in the "big girl" jar, but she gets one every now and then when we are out.
When do you think I should start no kidding potty training? I kept telling my Mom I did not want to start training until football was over. Well, that is in a week and I just really do not want to get under way with potty training yet. Bella is showing no signs of wanting to go on the big girl potty(occasionally she will sit on the potty because she sees me sitting there and she announces when she poops occasionally). Help guys....input needed and greatly appreciated!!

Bella and my Mom checking out the flowers at "Ma Ma's" house.
They are wrap around her lil finger!

How cute.

Bella loves her Ma Ma

Stopping to smell the flowers

The Kennedy kids minus Bob and Joe

My Little Clots

The game my parents and Randy and Stella came to see was a special one because the boys' teams played at the all boys Catholic High School.

Bella needed her clothes changed and Pa Pa did it. Here she is in her new outfit of a diaper cover and a t-shirt

Yesterday the N & S poles were lined up in a special way....it caused a magnetic field which would make a broom with a metal handle stand up by itself when facing N.
I have been so busy I have not even taken many photos....reality check!!! I am back on target!!

Really, it has been a month since I updated????

A week ago, Nik fell ill. He had every symptom of Swine, so we are going with it being Swine. Monday, Zak fell ill to Swine. He is my kid that gets sick and is 10 times more sick as most people that have the same thing. He ended up at the doctors on Wed. with the onset of pneumonia. He is a lot better today! Friday, Bella got Swine. She was the only child(at this house) with a confirmed case and hers is bad enough she received Tham-a-flu! I am still working full time and the boys are still playing football. So, please excuse me for not updating sooner. I am going to update with words then I will post a just photos post.

Sept18-20th was spent in St. Louis for Larry's oldest Brother's 60th Birthday Party. It was nice to see all of his family. We also squeezed in some time to see my family.

Sept26-29th. My Mom, Dad, Grandma R, Randy, and Stella came down to see Zak and Nik play football. They all came in on Saturday afternoon and stayed till Mon. We had a really packed house, but it was a lot of fun! The boys were really excited they had so many people at their games! BTW this weekend was Larry and I's 6th Anniversary. We had a nice weekend of being parents.
On Sunday night of this weekend, my babysitter called and said she needed to go to Tupelo MS with her husband to find an apartment(he is moving there with his job). She and the kids will move when their house sells. Well, she was really the only person I had to watch Bella, so I was in a bind. Thankfully my Mom was here. She helped me pack Bella up and took Bella home with her and Dad on Mon.

Oct2-4th The unexpected trip to Grandma and Grandpa's left me driving to Illinois on Sat. morning to pick Bella up. It was a really fast trip but it was nice to see my family for a little while. This is the same weekend Nik fell ill with Swine.....the last week was a whirlwind.

Life in general is good at our house. Bella is changing so fast. She will be 2 in a few weeks. My goodness where did 24 months go? She is saying a lot more these days. Some of my favorites are:
Any Name......r you?
My go bye bye...peeese!
Mommy my yuv you!
Mybath...peese
NOOOOOOO to everything
Ashes ashes fall down....when she wants you to play that with her.
My cook when she wants you to play with her and her kitchen set
ooooooo.....for her monkey(she also scratches under her arms)
GOOOO Zak(at his games)
GOOOO Nik (at his games)
She will yell.....lalalala when we pass the church she goes to Kindermusic
She will yell......paaaaaa when we pass the gym she goes to or her favorite park

I have found a new sitter for her. Her name is Ms. Laura and is just as wonderful as Ms. Ann. I took Bella there yesterday for 3 hours as a trial run and they both did great. I will be sad to see Ann move, but I understand.

Nik is doing really well in school. He tries really hard in football. I feel like he is not getting a fair chance at playing, but such is life. He is still in Scouts, so he keeps Larry and I very busy.

Zak is doing really well is school too. He has matured so much since last year. It is very much for the better. He has become very concerned about his school work and being on time. I have really enjoyed seeing this change in the last few months.

Football ends in a week, so no more excuses for a month between posts.
