Confessions of a Stay at Home Mom....1

I have decided to write down my short comings(a few at a time) in hope that writing them down will help me over come them or at least get better at dealing with them. So, after weekly Mass I will write down what I am praying to improve weekly. I was going to start this 4 weeks ago.....let's see how long it will take for me to stop:)

1.) I loose my temper with the kids over stupid things. This week I will ask the Blessed Mother for patience. She did not loose her temper when Jesus stayed in the temple and she thought she had lost him.

2.) I suck at being a wife. I have some ridiculous notion of what marriage should be and I am starting to realize I am WAY OFF! This week I am going to pray that I allow love to be present in everything I do for Larry. I will be patient, kind, not boastful. I will not harbor ill feelings for things that happened in the past. I will meditate on "faith, hope, love remain, but the greatest of these is love."

3.) Instead of being consumed in my own life, I will call at least two friends this week and not complain about my life. I will listen to them with an open heart. After we talk I will pray for them and their families.

4.) Instead of complaining and having ill feelings towards the job. I am going to embrace my job as Mardi Gras Chair. I will not allow the negative talk about the event become my talk. I am going to pray for God's grace in getting through the next two weeks.

5.) I am going to loose 4 pounds this week. I will not litter my body with stuff I do not need. I will cook healthy food for my family. I will not eat to eat, but to sustain life.

I have enough to pray for in the above 5. If you know me well enough I ask for your prayers and support too. If you think you need a spiritual renewal, I challenge you to do it. I have steered away from God and this is the year I am getting back on track. I am one in Christ and I need Him in my life. I will continue to read 1Cor chapter 12-31 over and over till I can live it!

God Speed my readers(the 3 of you)!

Saturday and Starbucks

My worst fear was calmed last night....we never lost power! Thank you Lord.

I was diagnosed with a Staph infection about 3 weeks ago. I was given heavy antibiotics and cream to put on the sores. I was feeling a lot better last week so the Dr. said there was no reason to see me. Well, Thurs. night I started feeling bad again, and today I am full swing back to being yucky. I got up this morning and Larry was biting at the bite to get out of this house, so he offered to go get me Starbucks. He left about 9am and returned about 11am. I have since enjoyed my Starbucks and I also got to sleep a little because he took the kids with him!

Now, we are stuck back inside because he admitted he really should have stayed home as the roads are not in good shape. Oh well, he got out of the house and I got more sleep. We are getting ready to watch a movie because Bella is asleep.

I am kind of enjoying being home bound.........check back tomorrow to see if I still feel that way:)

Snow Day

Zak playing video games

Nik playing games

Bella playing with her balls

Memphis is currently being hit with an icy snow storm. We are praying to not loose power and trying to keep from letting the kids get cabin fever.

So far today we have:

Larry: Read almost an entire "Backpacker" magazine and told Jana all about the cool parts.

Jana: Took a shower washed, dried, and straightened her hair in case we loose power. Worked on Mardi Gras, took photos of the kids, videoed Bella doing cute things, and took a nap.

Zak: played video games

Nik: same as above

Bella: Played house, read, colored, ran in the house resulting in two head on collisions into the walls, begged to go out, cried it was brrrrr when let out, talked non stop to Daddy, and took a short nap.

Mom is going to have to come up with some cool stuff if we are stuck in tomorrow. Bella will need to be sedated. She LOVES to be outside regardless of the temperature:)

****I am trying to upload videos. Anyone have any advice? I cannot get them to upload:) SORRY!!****

Potty Training a Two Year Old looks like......

We started potty training a few weeks ago and here is a scene from last week......
"Mommy my potty". Before I could get to my bedroom she was in my hall with her pull up down and had found her "rewards". Needless to say she never made it to the potty.

Just cute

After I got her pull up back on she saw my camera and started posing. She is such a HAM!!

Cheese like this mommy.....she was positioning herself and telling me to take cheese.

My Precious Girl

We pray everynight at dinner together as a family. I pray everynight with Bella as I lay her in her crib. Today she was playing with her bear and she said "in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit". She then mumbled something else. I am sure she was praying. So cute!!
