E-Ling and I at their House Warming Party. It was a HOT night and we were really busy so this is the only shot from the night! Great Party!

This photo reminds me of Sesame Street.

Not Me Monday

****Warning....tired Mom on the keys.....lots of run-on sentences****

It is not me sitting at Acura with a screaming 21 month old. Nope, not me trying to get the MDX all ready for the next 12 weeks I am going to be working full time. And yes, she has screamed so hard and for so long (2 hours and counting) she has puked on me twice!

It is not me ready to have a complete melt down with her.

It is not me that has packed 100 things to do into this week. Nope, I did not save it all for this last week before I return to work.

It is not me that wanted "something A LITTLE different" this time with my highlights. Nope not me that came out looking like a bleached skunk!

It is not me that washed an ink pen in Larry's shorts this week and ruined a load of light clothes.

It is not me that cried all the way home from school last week (only the first 2 days) because Zak is in Jr. High this year.

It is not me that had 3 meetings last week at school, 4 nights of football practice and an all day of football on Sat. Nope, not me that was so tired Sat afternoon I slept for 2.5 hours.

It is not me that successfully cooked dinner (and a healthy one at that) every night last week!

It is not me that cried as I tried to get chocolate mouse out of the carpet and off Bella's Pottery Barn chair last night. Nope not me that had to clean up the mess after Nik who knows there is no food upstairs took chocolate mouse upstairs, did not want the rest of it so he left it in reach of Bella so she painted my carpet and her chair. I may have cried, but I did not yell. Not once, I calmly told Nik no more food upstairs....sent him out of the room and proceeded to cry:)

It was not me that took the family to the pool on Sun and had a blast!!

It was not me that wishes summer was not over yet.

Flashback Friday

It will be a year in Oct since the Trent's left. I am not sure there are more than 2 or 3 days a week that go by without someone in the house mentioning them. This photo is Grace helping me one day when I had all 6 of the kids. This is Bella enjoying that ice cream from Tues night. She is like her mama loves some ice creamy goodness!
Have a good weekend everyone. This is our last weekend of the summer. My heart is heavy today knowing my buddies are going back to school. They are heading into 5th and 7th grade. I feel like I just dropped them off in 2nd and 4th. Mother time; can I have some time back? Join us in praying this weekend that they both do well academically and socially. That they remember who they are and that they are loved just for being them. We pray that they know Jesus in their hearts and they can say "no" to the devil. We pray God watches over St. Ann and keeps our school safe. We lastly pray for all our teachers new and past that they have the stamina to make it till May.

And,the photos to prove it.....

Bella and McKenzie.
Nik and Kennedi. I started babysitting for Kennedi(who is Zak's age) when she was 6 weeks old. Ironic I now have children the same age as the two kids I babysat for.

I thought this sign was funny.

The kiddos enjoying a popsicle on a hot day.

The boys and I at Nashville Shores.

Bella playing at Ms. Ann's last week.

Bella helping me clean. She loves to do this. It is sooooo cute. She will even take an empty cleaning bottle and make a shhhhhh..... sound like it is spraying stuff out.

Not Me Monday

I have started following more and more bloggs of people I do not know and I enjoy a lady's blogg where she does a "Not Me Monday" theme weekly, so I decided to try it out this week. Since this is my first Not Me, I will add a lot of things that have happened in the last month since my last post:)

BTW, my mom use to say she had 3 children when my sister and I were growing up. Michelle and I would always blame "not me" when we did something wrong.

Nope, it is not me that has not taken the time to add a new post in four weeks.

Not me that had friends down here 3 weeks a go for the weekend. Nope, they were not the Mom and little girls that I babysat for when I was in high school.

Not me that spent 14 hours cleaning my house 2 weeks ago. Nope, it was not me scrubbing floors, windows, and carpets. It is not me that still feels like she has so much still to do to get the house in good shape for the start of school.

It was not me that drove the boys to Nashville to a water park. Nope, it did not take me 3.5 hours one way. Oh, well the person that did take them had a great time hanging out with just her boys. I even took them out on a jet ski.(The water park is located on a HUGE lake.)

It was not me in Nashville freaking out on the jet ski because my life was on the back of it. Nope, I was not paranoid. Yeah right!

It was not me thinking the entire time I was on the jet ski that I was crazy as a teenager in P-Cola Fl riding a jet ski with Greer.

It is not me trying to catch myself going now that the boy's football season has started.

It is not me that needs to learn how to say "no" when people ask me to do something I really do not feel like doing.

It is not me that has let herself go so much that she is 6lbs from weighing the same thing she did walking into the delivery room.

It is not me wishing Bella would slow down in changing and growing.

It is not me hoping that now that Larry's job at NAS is over things will get better. Nope, not me praying Larry and I will make past where we are right now.

There it is, the Kennedy's life for the past month at a very very quick glimpse.......
